25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cherie Acosta conducted an unannounced Required 3 year inspection. Present during today’s inspection was the licensee and her fingerprint cleared son. There were 3 preschool aged children and 1 infant in care.
The home was toured for Health and Safety Inspection. During the inspection licensee requested the master bedroom and master bathroom to be off limits to children. Licensee also requested bedroom #1 to be on limits to children. On limits area as of today consist of the living room, family room, kitchen, bedroom #1 and hallway bathroom. The remainder of the home is off limits to children in care. Off limits areas will be made inaccessible by use of gates, closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. There are no pools, spas, hot tubs, or any other similar bodies of water at this home. There are no firearms on the premises as stated by the licensee. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to children are stored and inaccessible to children. The fireplace is screened to prevent access by children. LPA verified that the fire extinguisher 2A10BC is fully charged. The home is equipped with both a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. There is a working telephone in the home. The home provides appropriate toys, learning materials and play equipment.
The backyard is used for the outdoor play area. LPA observed boards missing in the backyard fence. Licensee is aware that she must provide one hundred percent supervision during outside play.
The licensee is operating within the licensed capacity. LPA did not observe any child left without supervision during the inspection. |
