Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Cherie Acosta and Dealia Frison conducted an unannounced case management/increase in capacity inspection. Present during today’s inspection was the licensee, her fingerprint cleared assistant and two minor children. There were 2 preschool aged children in care. Licensee has an approved fire clearance for up to 14 children dated 2/1/24.

The home was toured for Health and Safety Inspection. The On Limits area of the home include the ADU and the following rooms of the main house :living room, dining room, kitchen, bedrooms #2 and #4, and bathroom located near bedroom #3. The remainder of the main house is off limits to children in care. Off limits areas will be made inaccessible by use of gates, closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. The home has a pool and hot tub that is made inaccessible by a 5 foot mesh fence. The fence has a self closing gate that opens away from the pool. The fenced back yard is used for outdoor play. Licensee also uses the front yard for outdoor play. Licensee understands she must provide 100% supervision while children are playing in the front yard as the front yard is not fenced. There are no firearms on the premises as stated by the licensee. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to children are stored and inaccessible to children. LPA verified that the fire extinguisher 3A40BC is fully charged. The home is equipped with both a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. There is a working telephone in the home. The home provides appropriate toys, learning materials and play equipment.

The licensee is operating within the licensed capacity. LPA did not observe any child left without supervision during the inspection.
