25 | On September 15, 2025. at 12:45PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Lorraine Dacanay Breaux arrived at the home and conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA was granted entry by licensee and LPA provided the LIC126. Present during today's inspection was licensee, one finger print cleared assistant, fingerprint clear sister of the licensee, and 5 children in care (3 infants and 2 preschool age children, one of the infants is the licensee child). Hours of operation is Monday - Friday, 08:00 AM - 5:00PM. Per licensee does not provide over night care.
The apartment is located with in "1038 on 2nd" apartment complex, the apartment is location on the bottom level. The unit is has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The home was toured for health and safety, there is heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
ON LIMIT AREAS: Entry, kitchen, living room, bathroom in the hallway, bedroom on the right side of the hall and one at the end of the hallway and patio.During the inspection, LPA checked the cabinets in the on-limit areas (kitchen and bathroom). No hazardous materials were observed in these areas. Insolation area is the bedroom at the end of the hallway, away from the children in care until the parents arrive.
OFF LIMIT AREAS: Master bedroom and bathroom. The off-limits areas will be inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors, safety gates and visual supervision.
OUTDOOR PLAY Area: Rear patio, there is a storage shed that is locked to prevent access. The patio is fully fenced and free from defect and/or hazardous conditions. There are age appropriate play equipment appear to be in good and safe conditions during today's visit.
The apartment complex has two swimming pools, that are located away from the Family Home Child Care. Per licensee one is located across the street and one is located behind her apartment. Licensee states they do not use the swimming pool and/or do not have to pass by the pool area when taking a walk. LPA advised that if and when they may have to walk near the pool area, 100% supervision is REQUIRED.
