25 | On 3/4/2026 at 9:30 AM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Mone Flores and Kareeca "Reeca" Sykes conducted an Unannounced Case Management / Licensee Initiated Inspection for a change of capacity at Ki-Shawna Moore-Mitchell's Family Childcare Home. LPAs met with the Licensee, Ki-shawna Moore-Mitchell, and explained the purpose of today's inspection. Three pre-school aged children and one infant were present during the inspection today with the licensee and one assistant, who is fingerprint cleared. Licensee stated there are seven children enrolled. Residing in the home are the licensee, the licensee's spouse, who are both fingerprint cleared and licensee's two minor children. Licensee’s home was toured for a health and safety inspection. The facility operates Monday - Friday, 7 AM- 5 PM.
The home is a two-story home that consists of four (4) bedrooms, three (3) bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, garage, and backyard. The entrance to the day care is the front door. The inside and outside of the home were observed to be neat, clean with age-appropriate materials and toys for the children. Toxins, medications, and hazardous materials were observed to be located in inaccessible areas during today’s inspection. LPAs observed the following precautions: accessible cabinets and drawers in the kitchen have safety latches and the electric fireplace is blocked off and made inaccessible to children in care. Stairs are blocked off by a safety gate and made inaccessible to children in care. Licensee stated there are no firearms in the home and one pet (large dog) in the home. LPAs did not observe a body of water in or around home.
ON LIMITS AREA: living room, dining room, downstairs bathroom (1), and backyard, not including the right and left side of the home which are blocked off by safety gates.
OFF LIMITS AREA: garage and the entire second floor (bedroom 1, bedroom 2, bedroom 3, bedroom 4, bathroom 2, and bathroom 3) which has safety gates and has been made inaccessible to children in care.
