25 | On Tuesday March 26, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA) M. Domantay met with owner Karim Ramzanali, for the purpose of an unannounced case management inspection for an application that was submitted for a change of capacity and room change. Facility is requesting to increase capacity to 20 infant children and adding Classroom A2 to the Infant program. Facility operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The fire clearance was granted on 3/15/2024. LPA conducted a full tour of the facility indoors and outdoors with Owner's Wife.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are 2 classrooms designated for the Infant program, all measurements for Room A1 and A2 remain the same from previous inspection.
There are 2 classrooms designated for the Infant program: Classroom A1 and A2. LPA observed the classrooms to be equipped with sufficient amount of equipment, age-appropriate toys, tables, chairs, highchairs, cubbies, napping cots, and 9 cribs. Owner acknowledges there will be a maximum of 9 crib infants, due to available cribs. There is a first aid kit in each of the classrooms. Medications will be stored in the office in a locked box. LPA observed cleaning disinfectants are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Owner stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Owner stated there will be a water pitcher and cups available in the classroom. LPA observed a functional carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen. LPA observed an electronic sign-in/sign-out system.
Classroom measurements for Classroom A1 and A2 remain the same from previous inspection. The total classroom space contains a total of 889.76 square feet, which will accommodate Applicant's request for the additional 16 infant children. There are 2 sinks for the children, and a separate private restroom for the staff located off of the main entry way. LPA observed sufficient changing tables within arm's reach of a sink to accommodate the requested infant capacity. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024). Children who become ill during the day will be isolated in the office area and will use the staff restroom, if necessary.
