On 02/13/2025 at 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Christina Watts and Kareeca "Recca" Sykes conducted an Unannounced Subsequent Complaint Investigation at YMCA of the East Bay - Fairgrounds. LPA met with Assistant Director, Shekinah Sudduth and explained purpose of investigation. During today's inspection, there are 72 children in care (13 infants, 22 toddlers, 37 preschoolers) with 19 staff in 9 classrooms. AD stated there are 103 children enrolled. The Director, Ramona Carrillo was not present during this inspection. Finding for the above allegation was delivered during the inspection. Complainant alleges that Staff member made inappropriate comments about children's private parts. During the course of the investigation, LPA inspected the facility, reviewed records and conducted interviews. Based on the interviews and information obtained during the previous investigation, the allegation was SUBSTANTIATED. It was determined LPA Watts cited the facility previously for this incident on 05/09/2024. Meaning this allegation will not be cited during today’s visit. Exit interview was conducted with AD, Shekinah Sudduth. Appeal rights were provided. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST BE POSTED FOR 30 CONSECTIVE DAYS.
