25 | On 3/21/2025 at 8:45am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tasha Alexander met with Licensee Isela Hernandez for an ANNUAL/RANDOM AND INCREASE OF CAPACITY Inspection. Present during the inspection was the Licensee, her finger print cleared assistant, Milagros Castillo, and four (4) preschool age children in care, one of which is the licensee's own child. Licensee lives in the home with her two minor sons, ages 12 years old and 2 years. Licensee’s home was toured for a health and safety inspection. The facility operates from 7:00am – 6:00pm, Monday - Friday.
ON LIMITS AREA: Living room, eat-in kitchen, hallway bathroom, in-law suite (day care room), backyard. Applicant was reminded that other than wipes or things used for the children in the on limits children’s bathroom, they need to be empty of most all items (or locked up) such as cleaning products. There are no accessible hazardous cleaning chemicals or other liquids in the on-limits area.
OFF LIMITS AREA: All three bedrooms in the home, master bathroom, and the garage. The off-limit areas will be inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors, and/or by adult supervision.
ISOLATION AREA: The on-limits living room.
The facility is a single-story home, now owned by the Licensee. The inside of the home was observed to be neat, clean with ample age-appropriate materials for the children. All toxins, cleaning products, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. Licensee stated that she provides all food for the children. Licensee stated that she does not transport children. There are no pets and no firearms in the home.
There is one (1) fully charged 4A80BC fire extinguisher in the kitchen. There is one (1) working smoke detector/carbon monoxide combo in the childcare room (in-law suite), and inside of the home. The fireplace in the living room is blocked by a bookshelf making it inaccessible to the children in care. Licensee uses tables and chairs for eating. There are several cots available for sleeping. All napping equipment is clean, well maintained and in proper working order. The license has installed a heating/air unit in the day care room for proper heat and ventilation. |
