25 | On July 28th, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Soleil Marx met with Licensee’s, Sally and Donald Ewing, for the purpose of conducting a plan of correction inspection. LPA observed a census of four children in care being supervised by the licensee’s.
Licensee’s were previously cited a Type A deficiency on July 13th, 2023 for noncompliance with Health and Safety Code section 1597.44: A small family day care home may provide care for more than six and up to eight children, without an additional adult attendant, if all of the following conditions are met:
(b) No more than two infants are cared for during any time when more than six children are cared for.
LPA Marx observed during today’s inspection that the licensee’s are in compliance with capacity requirements by having four children in care.
LPA will clear the deficiency under HSC 1597.44(b) that was cited on July 13th 2023.
Exit interview conducted, report reviewed with licensee’s, and notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
