Licensing Program Analysts Erwina Pascual-Golamco and Jennifer Velasco (LPA) met with Director Kimberly Beeman for an unannounced annual inspection. LPA toured the facility including all activity and classroom spaces, restrooms and outdoor play areas. Census included eight infant children who are over the age of one being supervised by two staff. Director was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA observed sleep checks every 15 minutes for all children under age two. LPA gave Technical Violation as LPA observed two cribs had blankets and stuffed toys in them. All furnishings were in good condition. LPA informed Director that bedding should be changed daily. Technical Violation was given as LPA observed the Infant diaper changing area had a cloth covering and the changing pad was unsanitary. Toys are of age-appropriate size, with no small parts for the safety of the infants.

Classrooms all appeared clean including the carpets and floor. Chemicals were kept inaccessible to children. Playground equipment and surfaces were inspected, Technical Violation is given regarding resilient material under climbing structures to cushion a fall. Director stated parents bring their own water bottles from home and bring their own food from home. Bathrooms were clean and all sinks and toilets were in operating condition. There are no firearms or bodies of water on the premises and the facility has at least one functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detector. LPA observed all required licensing documentation was posted for parental review. Technical assistance was provided regarding parents signing their children in and out of the center.
