25 | On Thursday, March 3, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Soleil Marx met with Applicant Jie Meng for the purpose of an announced pre-licensing inspection. During today’s visit, the applicant was the only person present in the home. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Applicant plans to operate Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM-5:30 PM.
A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and outside the home. The home is a two-story house which includes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, a living room, dining room, family room, patio, garage, laundry room and a backyard. Off-limit areas will include: kitchen, garage, laundry room and entire upstairs. Applicant understands that children may never enter these off-limit areas.
Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children and out of children’s reach. LPAs advised the applicant that if there are ever any poisons at the home, all poisons must be locked with a key lock or combination lock. Sharp knives and childrens medications are stored in a child safetry locked drawer in off-limits kitchen. A functioning smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and 2A10BC fire extinguisher were observed. Applicant stated that there are no weapons in the home. There are no bodies of water on the premises. LPA observed fireplaces and stairs are barricaded according to regulation.
Applicant Jie Meng has completed the required Preventative Health and Safety course with the Lead Poisoning Prevention training. Current EMSA approved pediatric CPR/First Aid training was verified and expires 10/2024. Applicant’s Mandated Reporter training expires 11/2024. (1/3)
