25 | On August 11, 2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kari McWilliams conducted an announced case management inspection that was initiated by the Licensee. LPA McWilliams met with Director Melanie Weber and a church representative and discussed the purpose of today's inspection. LPA McWilliams toured the facility and a census was taken.
Happy Days School is requesting information on room changes and requirements to change the plan of operation to include children that are not currently potty trained and children that are two years old instead of two and half years. LPA McWilliams observed two possible classrooms that the school is considering utilizing for two year old children that are not potty trained.
LPA McWilliams provided guidance to Director Weber on best practices regarding; the toileting needs and changing of children who are not potty trained, the potty training process and if the school will provide potty training services.
Director Weber confirmed that the school is not increasing the capacity and will only be utilizing rooms that are currently licensed and will include the changes to the plan of operation. LPA McWilliams will provide Director Weber with a copy of the original plan of operation. Director Weber stated that she will provide LPA McWilliams with an updated Plan of Operation prior to the implementation that will include the changes. A return inspection will not be required for Licensee to implement these changes.
