25 | On 05/24/2023, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Ruby Ocegueda and Paul Garcia conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection for the preschool license. LPAs met with Site Supervisor, Angelita Rodriguez and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM. This facility is closed through the Summer and follows the traditional school year schedule.
There is no swimming pool in this facility. During the inspection of the play yard, it was observed that there was a collection of water in approximately three zones near the flower beds along the perimeter of the play yard. The largest area of water collected was approximately 2ft by 2ft in size. The water was approximately 3.5 inches in depth at the deepest point in each of the areas of concern. Site Supervisor also observed the water and confirmed the observation. Also outside in the play yard, LPA’s observed an unattended water table that had approximately 1 to 1.5 inches of water collected. Per Site Supervisor, the water was placed there this morning at 8:00 AM, and today the water was observed at approximately 10:30 AM. LPA’s discussed personal rights and maintaining a safe and healthful outside environment for children. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed during the inspection.
Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space was inspected today. All toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. The facility provides breakfast, lunch and snack. The meals are prepared in a central kitchen and transported the facility each day. The meals are stored in the kitchen. All kitchen, food preparation and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All foods/beverages capable of rapid spoiling are stored in covered containers at 45 degrees F or less. Report continued to 809-C
