25 | On 01/31/2024, Licensing Program Analyst’s (LPAs) Yesenia Fierro and Joseph Pacheco conducted an unannounced case management inspection and met with Director Amalia (Amy) Deel. LPAs took a census and toured the inside and outside of the facility. The purpose of today’s visit is to approve a temporary playground. The facility’s current playground will be undergoing renovations and will be closed.
LPAs measured the temporary playground; the outside square footage is approximately 7,848 sq. ft excluding the high climbing play equipment, accommodating up to 104 children which meets or exceeds state regulations.
High climbing play equipment will be made inaccessible until Director locates the specs of the play structure, and more cushioning is added. LPAs observed the remaining play equipment to be age appropriate and area has adequate shading.
The following items must be completed prior to approval:
Outside Playground:
1) High climbing play equipment is made inaccessible, until it is determined to be age appropriate.
2) Adding extra fencing around the perimeter that meets Title 22 regulations.
Upon completion of the above items, a recommendation will be made to approve the temporary playground.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Amalia (Amy) Deel.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
