25 | On 3/7/25, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Joseph Pacheco and Miguel Herrera conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection and met with Director, Kristina Diaz. LPA toured the inside and outside of the facility. The licensee is Childtime Childcare Inc. and they are requesting a capacity increase from 75 preschool children to 99 preschool children. Facility also has an infant license (100407139). Facility currently operates its preschool component in classrooms C, D and E and is requesting to add classroom F. This program currently operates Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. Director stated that facility provides AM snack, PM snack and lunch. Food is prepared on-site. A kitchen area was observed that included a freezer, refrigerator, stove, oven, and dishwasher. Ill children will be isolated in the Director’s office and utilize the staff bathroom. Cleaning supplies are inaccessible to children.
The classrooms were observed to be clean and free of toxins. LPA observed that the furniture and equipment in the classrooms appeared to be safe and in good condition. The facility has working carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen. LPA observed that there are plenty of tables, chairs and cubbies. LPA observed plenty of age appropriate items & toys.
Room measurements for all preschool classrooms were taken and reviewed with Director. The total inside area of all preschool classrooms measured to an approximate 3,232 square feet which will accommodate a maximum capacity of 92 preschool children based on Title 22 regulations of 35 square feet per child.
There is a total of 8 sinks/hand washing fixtures and 6 toilets which will accommodate a maximum capacity of 90 preschool children based on Title 22 regulations of 1 sink and 1 toilet for every 15 children or fraction thereof. Facility gets drinking water from a filtered water faucet in the kitchen. That water is used to fill pitchers in each classroom. Children bring water bottles from home to consume the water but the facility has cups on hand in case a child forgets their water bottle. Staff will bring the pitchers outside and children will bring their water bottles outside during outdoor activities.
The preschool outdoor activity area measured to an approximate 9,266 square feet which will accommodate 90 preschool children. High climbing play equipment was observed.
