25 | On 1/18/24 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Joseph Pacheco and Priscilla Zamudio conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPAs met with Director, Christina Trujillo and explained the reason for the inspection. Also present during the inspection was Firebaugh Las Deltas Unified School District Superintendent Roy Mendiola. This facility is located on the premises of Hazel M. Bailey Elementary School. Facility is planning construction of new preschool classrooms and new outdoor spaces on the existing premises of the elementary school. A timeline for when any construction is scheduled to begin, and end has not been determined at this time. The facility currently has two outdoor activity areas that are licensed. One is rectangular shaped (space one) and the other is triangle shaped (space two). The proposed construction may have an impact on space two making it unavailable for use during the potential construction period. LPAs measured the square footage of space one to see how many children it would accommodate in the event it was the only outdoor activity space available for use during any potential construction. LPAs reviewed the outdoor square footage measurements with the Superintendent and Director. Outdoor activity space one measured to an approximate 9,370 square feet which will accommodate the licensed capacity of 120 preschool children. LPAs did not measure the classrooms as any proposed construction will not have an impact on the current indoor activity space or children’s bathrooms that have already been approved for use by Community Care Licensing.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Christina Trujillo.
A notice of site visit was given to Director and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. . |
