25 | On 01/27/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Miguel Herrera and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Juvenal Moctezuma conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection and met with Owners, Marco Brewer, Lorie Brewer and Director Irma Villa. LPAs explained the reason of the inspection and a tour of the center was conducted both inside and outside. The center has a capacity of 25 infant children and operates year round from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Friday. This program operates in the infant classroom labeled "front building".The "front building" shares its space with the preschool program (capacity of 24 preschool age children). Per the fire clearance, the "front building" cannot exceed a total capacity of 49 children.
The "back building" will operate with a capacity of 48 preschool children. During today's inspection, it was observed that classroom changes were made in both buildings. A new fire clearance will be submitted to the fire department to ensure facility sketch matches their classroom usage. The classrooms had age appropriate toys, furniture, and equipment appeared to be in good condition.
Room measurements were taken and reviewed with the owners. Based upon the measurements taken today, the measurements provide enough indoor space for the current licensed capacity of 25 infant children. The "front building" has a total of 4 toilets, changing table and 5 sinks/hand washing fixtures. Licensee inquired about increasing the capacity to their infant license and LPA's provided information to licensee regarding the increase/decrease of capacity.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Lorie Brewer. Appeal rights were provided. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, there are no deficiencies being cited during today’s inspection. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
