 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Brannon and J. Pacheco conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to provide findings of the above allegation. LPA met with Director, Kari Salgado. LPA reviewed the allegation, and toured the facility, inside and outside.
Through the course of this investigation, LPA Brannon interviewed current and previous staff. Parents arrive at the center to pick up their children. Classroom staff are notified by the front desk staff, who will then bring the child to the front lobby area. Classroom staff are to clean the child before the front desk staff retrieve the child. The front desk staff will inspect the child and will help the child clean up before taking the child to parents. It appears that the child is checked twice before the child is handed over to parent.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiency is cited during today’s visit. Exit interview conducted with director, Kari Salgado. Appeal rights were provided. A Notice of Site Visit was posted on parent board in presence of LPA Brannon.
