25 | On 06/05/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ka Vang conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Center Director Nicole Gibson. This facility operates a two half day programs on a year round school schedule from August to June. The AM session is Monday to Friday,from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; the PM session is from Monday to Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. LPA confirmed the facility has a working telephone service at (559) 495-7898. This facility provides breakfast for the AM session children and lunch provides for the PM session children. The food is prepared off center premises and delivered to the facility. Menus are posted at least one week in advance where an authorized representative can view them.
LPA toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Director understands that all children shall be under supervision, including visual supervision, of a qualified teacher at all times. There shall be a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than twelve children in attendance.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children. No poisons were observed during the inspection.
During the inspection, LPA observed furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. All floors are clean and safe. All storage areas are clean. The facility is free of flies, insects, and rodents. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet the statutory requirements. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors as drinking water is provided by water dispenser and disposable cups.
Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test.
