13 | On 10/13/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Candis Rodriguez conducted an unannounced complaint inspection at facility. LPA met with Director Taryn McKelvey, explained purpose of inspection, toured the facility, and took a census.
During the investigation, LPA interviewed Directors, multiple staff members, and observed facility classrooms. It was revealed through observation and interview that the facility has implemented Department of Public Health guidelines including requiring staff and visitors to wear masks in the facility as well as encouraging and teaching children to wear masks inside the facility. It was also revealed through interview with Directors and multiple staff members that not all children are acclimated to wearing masks consistently, and some children can not safely wear them, but the facility and staff are actively working to ensure all children who can safely wear masks are wearing them when required indoors.
