On 03/18/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Candis Rodriguez conducted a complaint inspection at facility. LPA met with Director Taryn McKelvey, explained purpose of inspection, took a tour of the facility and a census.

During the investigation, LPA interviewed multiple staff members, Directors, obtained facility documents, and observed facility during two inspections. It was revealed through interviews with multiple teachers and LPA's observations of facility that children are screened with a health check including taking temperature with no-touch thermometer upon arrival to the facility. It was revealed through interview with multiple teachers that children occasionally are accepted into the facility with a cough or a runny nose, but no fever. It could not be determined if any children who are coughing or have runny nose are suffering from contagious illness or non-contagious illness such as allergies.

Based on interviews conducted and observation, investigation could not reveal that Staff accept children with symptoms of illness. Therefore, although allegations above may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to provide the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are unsubstantiated.

Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiency cited during today’s visit. Exit interview conducted with Director Taryn McKelvey.
