32 | LPA reviewed with Applicant that any future changes to the classrooms are required to ensure that furniture does not tip over on to children, the furniture are to be anchored or situated that tipping does not occur. Classroom changes of furniture shall be situated that 100% visual supervision is always provided to children in care. Classrooms 1 and 2 share a restroom with one toilet and one sink. Classrooms 3 and 4 share a restroom with 2 toilets and one sink. Classrooms 5 and 6 share a restroom with one toilet and one sink. LPA observed one sink in all six classrooms. LPA observed a restroom in the outdoor play area with two toilets, one urinal and one sink.
Room measurements were taken and reviewed with Licensee. The total inside preschool area measured to an approximate 3467 square feet which will accommodate the requested capacity of 90 preschool children. There is adequate storage space available for children's belongings in the classroom. Applicant understands that children's equipment needs to match the capacity she is licensed for. Toys and equipment appear to be age appropriate. There is a total of 6 toilets, one urinal and 10 sinks/hand washing fixtures which will accommodate the requested capacity of 90 preschool children. Facility will be providing toilet training. There is a changing table in the bathroom shared by classroom 3 and 4 to meet children’s needs.
The approximate outside square footage is 6915 square feet which will accommodate the requested capacity of 90 preschool children. The preschool play area is gated all around. LPA observed age appropriate toys, climbing equipment, with slides. Applicant is using wood chips to cushion fall zones. There is shade available where children can rest and get water. LPA reminded Applicant to provide adequate supervision at all times.
A fire clearance of 90 preschool children was approved and granted by the City of Fresno Fire Department on September 16, 2022.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) are currently being provided. Facility has an IMS plan on file with Community Care Licensing. Applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
