25 | On 7/10/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Priscilla Zamudio conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by licensee, Guadalupe Segovia. LPA completed visit in Spanish. Days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 5:30AM-6:00PM.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the kitchen, hall bathroom, living room, den room, and daycare room are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of door locks.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises, however, during inspection, there was an empty inflatable pool observed. Licensee stated that she will ensure supervision when in use and remove any water when done.
Per licensee, there are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There is one fireplace in the home located in the living room and is made inaccessible by a glass door and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher stored in the kitchen, hall smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
This is a single level home and there are no stairs. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (559) 709-9639.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced. There is a large wooden play structure that showed paint chipping throughout with exposed wood. Licensee agreed to have it painted and keep off limits until completed. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
