25 | On 3/3/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and four day care children. Licensee and her minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee's CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 7/23/24. Licensee’s Assistant, Brianna Calleres has not completed the CPR and First Aid training. Licensee understands that her assistant cannot be left alone to provide care and supervision to day care children. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 2/16/23.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 3/1/23. Licensee states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire pull alarm.
- During today's inspection, licensee informed LPA that she wants to make bedroom #2 and bedroom #4 accessible to the day care children. LPA inspected both bedrooms and determined the areas are safe for the children in care. Licensee provide LPA with an updated Facility Sketch, (LIC999A).
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
