25 | On 02/09/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Ka Vang conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee Schyienell Jones. Also, present in the daycare home was licensee’s Assistant. Licensee confirmed that the facility operates Monday through Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m The home has a working telephone service, and LPA confirmed the phone number.
LPA observed that this is a single level home with no stair. LPA conducted a tour of the home, both inside and outside, and took a census of the children present. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. LPA reviewed the current facility sketch and confirmed that the living room, bedroom #1, bedroom #2, bedroom #3, and hallway restroom are designated for child care areas and are accessible to children. All other rooms in the home are off-limits and made inaccessible by using doorknob spinners. Safe toys and age-appropriate play equipment were observed.
Licensee confirmed that there are firearms on the premises. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area, and no poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other hazardous items were observed to be made inaccessible to children.
LPA did not observe any open-face heaters in the daycare area. LPA observed a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector. The home has adequate heating and ventilation for the safety and comfort of children in care. Based on record review, LPA observed that the fire and disaster drills have been conducted and documented every six months, including the date, time, and number of children present.
