25 | On 05/19/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Jeovanna Yanez met with Applicant, Yuliana Oropeza for a pre-licensing/change of location inspection. Applicant, her husband, and two minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on April 26, 2023.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
· Fire clearance was received on May 10, 2023. Fire pull alarm is located in the home’s kitchen wall.
· This is a single story four bedroom, three bathroom home and children will have access to the living room, kitchen, dining room, flex room (nap room), and bedroom #1 which includes a bathroom. Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by use of lever locks, door lock, and safety gate. Applicant states that the family child care home entrance will be through the home's right side run towards the backyard and into bedroom #1.
· There is a fireplace in the living room that applicant states will not be used during day-care hours.
· In the flex room, LPA observed a flat screen television mounted on the wall, comfortable furnishings, and a desk. In the living room, LPA observed comfortable furnishings. In bedroom #1, LPA observed learning wall art, colorful rugs, children size tables, chair, and furniture, a television mounted on the wall, and safe games, toys, and books for the children. Children will nap on mats in bedroom #1, Infants will nap on play yards in the flex room. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
· Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place. (CONTINUED ON 809-C) |
