25 | On 3/26/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, her husband and three day care children who were napping. Licensee and her husband are the only persons who reside in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 6/26/24. Licensee’s Assistant, Jesus Gonzalez has not completed the training. Licensee understands that her assistant cannot be left alone to provide care and supervision to the day care children. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 11/14/23.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 3/19/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the day care room wall on the left hand side.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two high chairs, a diaper changing table and one play yard. There is a parent’s board that is located on the left hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition in the home. Poisons are kept locked in a shed that is located in the backyard.
