25 | On 6/4/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and four day care children. Licensee, her husband and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through Alert Medical Training with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 9/17/24. Licensee’s Assistant, Jesus Lopez completed the training through American Heart Association and expires on 5/29/24. Applicant understands that her assistant cannot be left alone to provide care and supervision to the day care children.) Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 5/22/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 5/29/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the dining room wall.
- LPA observed child size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed one high chair, a booster feeding chair, a diaper changing table/ crib duo. There is a parent’s board that is located on the left hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
