25 | On 5/31/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and two day care children. Licensee, her husband and three minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 8/24/24. Licensee’s Assistant, Eduvina Barajas Valencia has not completed the training. Applicant states her assistant is scheduled to complete the training. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 5/22/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 5/24/24. Fire pull alarm is located in the day care room.
- LPA observed in the day care room; child size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. There is a flat screen television and a parents board mounted on to the wall. LPA also observed one high chair in the dining room, and an infant swing, and one play yard in the family room.
- Firearms are stored in accordance with Title 22 Regulations and ammunition stored separate in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. Licensee states there are no poisons in the home.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
