25 | On October 21, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Jacqueline Macias conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Licensee, Silvia Arellano. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. There were four (4) daycare children present in the facility during this inspection. Also present was Licensee’s spouse, Marco Arellano, and Licensee’s assistant, Ivana Arellano. Licensee was provided a Entrance Checklist upon entry.
Licensee accompanied LPA and conducted a tour inside and out of the facility during this inspection. This facility is a two story, five (5) bedroom, five (5) bathroom house with attached studio that includes, (1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room, and kitchen). The following areas used for child care are: daycare room, bathroom in daycare room, back yard, outdoor bathroom, and new kitchen next to daycare room. Off limits areas are: living room, dining room, downstairs bedroom, main kitchen, half garage, studio, and all of upstairs (bedrooms #1, #2, #3, #4, bathrooms #3, #4 and #5. They are made inaccessible through the use of door locks, child safety gates. and doorknob covers. Days and Hours of operation are: Monday-Sunday, 23 hours.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were made inaccessible to children during the inspection. The licensee has toys, play equipment and materials available. The upstairs is not used and is gated off at the bottom of the stairway and the Licensee understands the gate must be in place when children under five years are present during day care hours. The home has a fenced backyard available for outdoor activities at time of inspection. Licensee states she provides continuous supervision of children during outside activities at all times.
