25 | On May 22, 2023, at 12:30 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jo Ann Legaspi conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and met with the Licensee Rosa Flores. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted facility entry by the Licensee. The Licensee, her spouse and the helper were in in the facility during this inspection. Six (6) children were present in the facility, but during LPA’s visit one (1) child left. This facility is a two (2) story, four (4) bedroom, four and a half (4 ½) bathroom house. Licensee accompanied LPA during this inspection. The following areas used for childcare are: family room, dining room, downstairs bathroom, and the fenced and shaded backyard. The off limit areas are the top floor, living room , laundry room and garage. Door locks are on the doors to the laundry room and garage. Stairs to the top floor are barricaded with child safety gates. Access into the living room from the childcare room is barred with child safety gates.
The fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector met requirements. Hazardous items were observed inaccessible to children during this inspection. The Licensee has available toys, play equipment and materials. Licensee states children play in the fenced and shaded backyard. Licensee was reminded that continuous supervision is to be given to children whenever engaged in outdoor activities. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home.
Licensee’s First Aid and CPR certifications expire in July 2024. Licensee has required immunizations. Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 08/04/2021. The facility roster is maintained and was reviewed. The last fire and disaster drills were conducted and documented.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or |
