25 | On 2/8/2024 at 12:35 PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Thien Dinh and Diana Sanchez conducted an unannounced, licensee-initiated case management visit to add the newly constructed room in the back of the house for daycare use. LPAs met with licensee, Teresa Vargas, and informed her of the purpose of the visit. There were 0 children and 2 staff present at the time of this visit.
Licensee accompanied LPAs on a tour of the home and the new constructed day-care area is detached from the home, as shown on the updated facility sketch.
LPAs conducted an inspection of the newly constructed day-care area in the back of the house. The day-care area include a kitchen, a bathroom, day-care room, and yard area. The day-care area is free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. The yard area is fenced. Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, firearms and other items which could pose a danger to children are stored where they are inaccessible to children. Storage areas for poisons, firearms and other dangerous weapons shall be locked.
The newly constructed day-care room can be used effective as of 2/8/2024.
No deficiencies cited.
Licensee submitted an updated application LIC279, written statement of request, and facility sketch LIC999. Fire Clearance has been approved on 2/1/2024.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Teresa Vargas. Appeal Rights were provided.
A notice of site visit was given to Teresa Vargas and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. |
