25 | On 6/22/23 at 10:15 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cindy Meier and conducted an announced Change of Location, Change of Capacity inspection with applicant, Rosa Harleem. The purpose of the inspection is to ensure the home is in compliance with standards established in CCR, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, for Family Child Care Homes. This one story, five bedroom, three bath house was toured and inspected. The hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On 6/2/23 a fire clearance was granted for fourteen (14) children. Applicant will utilize the following areas for childcare: living room/playroom, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom #1. Off Limit areas include: bedrooms #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, bathrooms #2, #3, laundry room, and garage and half of back yard where pool is located. Off limit areas are inaccessible to children by use of safety gates, safety latches or doorknob covers. Applicant has a fenced back yard for outdoor activities. There is an above ground pool which is behind a four-foot fence. The fence and gate do not meet bodies of water requirements. Applicant will repair fence and LPA will come out to inspect once it is repaired. LPA informed applicant to ensure children are supervised at all times during outdoor activities.
The fire extinguisher is rated 2A:10B:C and is located in the playroom, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors meet requirements and are operational. Detergents, cleaning comp, and medicines are inaccessible to children in care and poisons are to be locked away. There is no fireplace on the premises. Children’s toys and play equipment are available. The applicant has a working cell phone. Applicant stated there are no firearms, other weapons or ammunition in the home. |
