25 | On 09/10/2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA’s) Miguel Herrera and Nohemi Sanchez conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPAs Herrera and Sanchez toured the facility, and a census was taken. LPAs Herrera and Sanchez met with Licensee Olga Zamago and provided translation services in Spanish. The purpose of today's inspection was to discuss an unusual incident that allegedly occurred on 08/16/2024 that was reported to Child Care Licensing Division that same day, in which the parent of child #1 informed Licensee Zamago reported that child #1 stated that they were inappropriately touched while in care.
During the case management inspection, LPAs Herrera and Sanchez interviewed Licensee Olga Zamago, reviewed facility files, reviewed protocols for reporting obligations, and gathered additional information on supervision procedures.
With the information received today it is determined that Licensee Zamago handled the situation quickly and properly, and the incident was reported timely while adhering to reporting requirements. Upon reviewing supervision protocols established through interview, records review and observations that the facility practices supervision by ensuring that children are consistently supervised and was transparent and compliant with reporting requirements. No definitive information was obtained to corroborate that the incident occurred therefore the incident needs further investigating.
Per Chapter 3, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies observed during today’s inspection. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview conducted with Licensee Olga Zamago and a copy of the report and Appeal Rights were given and discussed. |
