25 | On 11/30/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Crystal Ali and Carol Heath conducted an unannounced annual random inspection for the infant program. LPA met with Site Supervisor II, Carleen Bencoma. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection to the director. The facility's hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00pm. Present during today’s inspection were 17 preschool age children, 1 teacher and 2 assistants.
Facility is a single-story building, there are a total of 32 rooms: Classroom C is currently the only classroom open; Classroom A & B are closed (for pre-licensing), Toddler Classroom 1 closed (pre-licensing), 15 offices, one break room, one kitchen, 4 staff bathroom, 2 children’s bathroom, 1 lobby, 1 little kid’s library, 2 storage, 1 file room, and one yard utilized for outdoor play. Common spaces for the programs consist of the facility kitchen, staff restrooms, and staff office. Incidental Medical Services were discussed.
Emergency Drills are conducted every month, last drill was conducted and documented on 11/1/2023 at 9:07am for the Fire Drill and 9:15am for the Emergency/Earthquake Drill. The fire extinguisher (2A10BC) is reading in green and meets the Fire Marshal codes and standards (last serviced 6/2022). Fire drills are conducted every month and documented. Food allergies are noted and are posted in the kitchen and classrooms in the blue binder. There is no outside food allowed and the Center provides breakfast at 8am and lunch at 11am, no snacks.
Furniture and equipment:
Telephone service was verified. Heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. LPA observed disinfectants, chemical compounds, and poisons were found to be inaccessible to children in care (inside classroom under sink safety locked).
