25 | On 05/10, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) conducted a case management visit for unusual incident reported on 02/28/2022 in which law enforcement arrived at center regarding an reported injury to child. LPAmet with Esther Dodd, Site Superviso,r toured facility inside and outside. Census was taken. LPA interviewed staff and observed area in which incident occurred.
Staff stated police informed them of complaint by parent regarding an injury to child. Staff stated police would not identify injury in detail. Staff stated police questioned staff about some marking on child's body. Staff stated police questioned them about toileting procedures, discipline policies and parent's behavior in center. Staff stated they told police that they were unaware of any injuries to child. Staff stated they informed police of their toileting procedures and discipline policies. Staff stated they use redirection and have no punishment what so ever. Staff stated they told police that parent was uncooperative and rude to staff when in the center. Staff stated at parent's request, services were terminated on 03/11/2022. Staff stated police did not provide case number or any other identifying information regarding the complaint. Staff stated they have not heard from law enforcement since.
Based on the information obtained, this appears to be an isolated incident and Staff took appropriate measures to address the issue, following proper policies and procedures and no regulations were violated.
Per California Code of Regulations Title 22, Division 12, no deficiency cited during today's visit. Exit interview conducted with the Yesenia Rubira, Site Supervisor.
