25 | On 4/13/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and two day care children. Licensee, her husband, her adult daughter and one minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee's and Licensee’s Assistant, Kaitlyn Aldridge completed CPR and First Aid through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 11/7/24. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 3/15/23.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 3/21/23. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s family room wall, next to the door that leads to the backyard.
- LPA observed in the day care room; children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two play yards and a flat screen television mounted onto the wall. There is a parents board that is located on the right hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does have weapons; firearms and ammunition in the home that are stored in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. Poisons are kept locked inside a shed that is located in the backyard.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
