25 | On 2/16/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and one day care child. Licensee, her husband, and one minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 1/28/24 . Licensee’s Assistant, Raynoldo Armendariz completed the training through American Red Cross and expires on 7/21/23. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 1/24/23.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 1/24/23. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the left hand side wall.
- LPA observed in the day care room; children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed five high chairs in the dining room. There are two play yards, children’s cubbies, and a flat screen television and a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall in the day care room.
- Licensee informed LPA that she wants to use the converted garage area for the day care children. LPA inspected the room during today's inspection. LPA observed that the room has insulation, carpet flooring and heating and air conditioner wall unit. There is a door that will be used as the main entrance for the child care facility. The entrance will be through the side run of the home.
