25 | On 5/3/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was Spanish-speaking Licensee, Elizabeth Diza and three day care children who were napping in the day care room. Licensee is the only adult who resides in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 3/3/25. Licensee’s Assistant, Maria Elena Arana completed the training through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 8/21/24. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 4/19/23.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 4/20/23. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s hallway on the left hand side wall.
- LPA observed in the master bedroom (day-care room); children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. There is a diaper changing table and two play yards. LPA also observed two high chairs in the kitchen. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall of the day care room wall. During today's inspection, licensee informed LPA that she would like to utilize bedroom #1 for day care children. LPA inspected bedroom #1, there is a twin size bed and a night stand. The closet will be kept locked. LPA approved the room for day care use as of today. Facility sketch was updated during today's inspection.
