25 | On June 14, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and six day care children who were playing with puzzles in the day care room. Licensee, her boyfriend and three minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on August 29, 2022. Licensee’s Assistant, Jordan Villanueva who completed the training through EMS Safety and expires on May 7, 2024. LPA informed licensee that the Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) need to be requested from instructor in order for certification to meet Title 22 Regulations. Licensee stated that she will not be leaving assistant alone to provide care and supervision to the day care children. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on June 3, 2022.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on June 6, 2022. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the left hand side wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two play yards, two booster seat chairs, cots and a flat screen television mounted onto the wall. There is a parent’s board that is located on the left hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
