25 | On 3/13/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, licensee’s assistant, and four day care children who were playing in the day care room. Licensee, her husband, and her adult son reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 1/5/2027. Licensee’s Assistant, Jose Cisneros completed the training through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 1/12/2026. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 2/27/2025.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 3/4/2025. Fire pull alarm is located on the day care room wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed one high chair, a diaper changing table and two cribs. There is a flat screen television mounted onto the day care room wall. There is a parent’s board located on the day care room wall.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher mounted onto the day care room wall. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
