25 | On 2/26/2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Norma Lomeli and Jose Ruiz conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was Spanish-speaking licensee and six day care children. Licensee, her husband and five minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 8/4/2025. Licensee’s Assistant, Jorge Ceja Campos completed the training through EMS Safety with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 2/23/2026. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 2/21/2025.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 2/21/2025. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the right wall.
- LPAs observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two high chairs, a diaper changing table and three play yards. There is a parents board that is located on the right side of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher mounted on the right wall of the home’s entry way. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
