25 | On 3/14/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Dora Rivera for a pre-licensing/ change of location inspection. Applicant, her husband, her adult son and three minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 3/6/24.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on 3/6/24. Fire pull alarm is located in the day care room on the left hand side wall.
- This is a single story, three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms home with a modified detached converted garage that has two large rooms, a kitchen and one bathroom. Applicant provided Community Care Licensing Department with City of McFarland Building Department Permit# BP23-0307 for the detached converted garage room. Day care children will only have access to the converted garage day care room. Off-limits rooms/ closets in the day care room are made inaccessible by use of plastic door knob covers and a child proof safety gate.
- There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys, and books for the children. There are educational posters, two high chairs, a parents board and a flat screen television mounted onto the wall. Children will nap in the napping room on mats. Infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
