25 | On 10/22/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Spanish-speaking Applicant, Laura Liliana Ramirez for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her husband, their two adult cousins and two minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- This is a single story, three bedrooms and two bathrooms home with a studio that includes a bathroom and a kitchenette area. Children will have access to the bedroom #3 (day care room), kitchen, laundry room and bathroom #2. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of child proof safety gate and child proof door knob covers. The entrance to the day care room is through the glass sliding door that is located on the drive way area.
- There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed in the in the day care room, child size furniture, safe toys, and books for the children. There is a high chair, a diaper changing table, a play yard and a flat screen television mounted onto the wall. Children will nap in the day care room on cots and infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher mounted onto the day care room wall. There is a functioning smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
