25 | On 12/4/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Spanish-speaking Applicant, Estela Chavez Antonio for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her husband and four minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- This is a single story, three bedrooms and one bathroom home and children will have access to the living room #1, living room #2 (day care room), dining room, kitchen and hallway bathroom. The entrance to the family child care home will be through the right side run of the home. Off-limits rooms/ closets are made inaccessible by use of child proof door knob covers.
- There is an electrical fireplace in living room #1 that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours. There is central air heating/cooling ventilation for safety and comfort.
- LPA observed in the day care room, child size furniture, safe toys, a play yard, a diaper changing table, a stroller, and a high chair for the children. There is a parents board on the left wall of the day care room entrance. LPA observed in living room #1, a television on top of a television cabinet and a sofa and love seat. Children will nap in day care room on mats. Infants will nap in a crib. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Facility has a 2A10BC fire extinguisher mounted onto the dining room wall. There is a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
