32 | The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Knives, medication, cleaning supplies and chemicals are kept inaccessible to children. The kitchen is made inaccessible to children, LPA observed a white child safety gate at the opening entrance to the kitchen.
There are educational age-appropriate toys and equipment on the premises.
The First Aid kit with a temperature thermometer was observed and complete. The required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) is reading in green (purchased within the year, receipt is dated 2/05/2024 from Costco ). Smoke and carbon monoxide detector (tested at 12:15 p.m.) and found to be in operating condition according to the Fire Marshal standards. Fire and disaster drills are conducted every six-month. Last drill was recorded on 07/31/2024 at 9:30 a.m.
Licensee had all the required posted documents: Facility License (LIC 203, Notice of Parent's Rights Poster (PUB 394), Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC 610A), and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC 9148).
The licensee maintains proof of immunization against pertussis (TDAP), measles (MMR), Tuberculous (TB) and influenza.
Licensee provided a valid Pediatric CPR/First Aid training certificate which does not expire until 01/30/2025. Child Care Provider Mandated Reporter training (AB1207) is required to be renewed every two-years.
