25 | On 12/06/23 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Beneroso conducted a Pre-licensing Inspection with Applicant Griselda Fernandez Salgado who guided LPA on a tour of the facility.
This is a single-story house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining area, laundry room and garage. There is another unit in the property with a separate address and all adults finger print cleared. Family members residing in the home include two adults (Applicant and her husband) and 2 minor children.
The facility will operate Monday through Friday from 5AM to 6PM with a license capacity of 8 children. LPA went over the childcare ratios for a small family home with applicant and provided applicant with a copy.
Main Care Area: Main care will be provided in the family room. Children will nap and eat in the day care room. Per applicant she will most likely apply for a food program. The day care children will utilize the bathroom in the hallway in the right-hand side. Children will not use the backyard for outdoor play at this time but will in the future. LPA observed day care area to be clean and orderly, central air and heating, age-appropriate toys and play equipment.
Off-Limit Areas: Bedrooms 1-3, bathroom #2, kitchen, dining area, laundry area, garage and backyard are off limits to the day care children. LPA observed door safety knobs in the bedrooms, making the inaccessible to children and also child safety gates installed in the dining area and hallway.
Bathroom: LPA observed a clean, safe and operable toilet and faucet. LPA reminded applicant the children's bathroom must be free of shampoos, mouthwash, medication, perfumes, razor, air freshener, nail polish and polish remover.
