25 | On 01/10/24 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Beneroso conducted a Pre-licensing Inspection with Applicant who guided LPA on a tour of the facility.
This is a one story house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining area, laundry room, garage and backyard. Family members residing in the home include two adults (Applicant and licensee’s husband) and 2 minor children.
The facility will operate Monday through Friday from 5AM – 5PM for less than 24 hours and with a license capacity of 8 children. LPA went over the childcare ratios for a small family home with applicant and provided applicant with a copy.
Main Care Area: Main care will be provided in the living room area and bedroom #1. Children will nap and eat in the day care room (room#1). Per applicant she will most likely apply for a food program. The day care children will utilize the bathroom #1 located in the hallway. Children will use the backyard for outdoor play time. LPA observed day care area to be clean and orderly, central air and heating. LPA did not observe age-appropriate toys and play equipment available. Applicant must obtain these items prior to licensure. There is a designated area for ill/sick children near the entrance. Children will nap in cots (once purchased) in the playroom (Room#1) and living room. Applicant must obtain nap equipment prior to licensure.
Off-Limit Areas: The front yard, bedrooms 2-4, bathroom #2, laundry room, and garage area are off limits to the day care children. LPA observed door safety knobs in the bedrooms, making the inaccessible to children.
