25 | On June 6, 2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Annelise Villa and Giovanni Cristales met with Licensee CarlaAngela Ruiz who guided analysts on a tour of the facility for the random annual inspection and requested capacity increase. The requested capacity is 14. The fire department has granted a fire clearance. Licensee is advised that as a family childcare home operating at full capacity, she must adhere to the following: Operate with a Maximum of 14 children in care with no more than 2 Infants, also must have 3 school age children enrolled. Or Max. 12 Capacity with no more than 4 infants. A Qualified Assistant must be present when more than 8 children are in care. Upon arrival, LPAs observed 3 children in care with Licensee caring for them. Family members living in the home are Licensee, Licensee’s spouse and 2 minor children. Hours of operation 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. No children in the daycare with IMS.
Physical Plant: This is a one-story house with 4 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, living room, laundry room, kitchen, attached garage, and front/back yards. There is no pool/spa or body of water on the premises. Main care is provided in the living room. Children use the bathroom located in the hallway on the right. Accessible areas include living room, bedroom #1, bathroom #1, and back yard. Off limit areas include bedrooms 2-4, bathroom #2 and #3, laundry room, front yard, and garage. Licensee requested to make the living room an accessible daycare area. The living room was inspected and deemed safe for children. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, clean and orderly, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, and medicines. Hazardous items (sharp knives and cleaning chemicals are stored in the kitchen which is barricaded by a safety gate and medicine are stored in the off-limits primary bedroom which is off limits to children in care) are inaccessible to children in care.
