32 | The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The knives, medication, cleaning supplies and chemicals are kept inaccessible to children (LPA observed a child safety gate at the entrance of the kitchen and another child safety gate by to living room next to the off-limits bedrooms.
There are educational age-appropriate toys and equipment on the premises.
The First Aid kit with a temperature thermometer was observed and complete. The required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) is reading in green (purchased with one year). Smoke and carbon monoxide detector is operating condition according to the Fire Marshal standards. Fire and disaster drills are conducted every six-month. During inspection facility completed a fire and earthquake emergency drill with children present (10/10/2024 at 1:45 p.m.) a technical violation issued.
Licensee had all the required posted documents: Facility License (LIC 203, Notice of Parent's Rights Poster (PUB 394), Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC 610A), and Earthquake Preparedness Checklist (LIC 9148).
The licensee maintains proof of immunization against pertussis (TDAP), measles (MMR), Tuberculous (TB) and written statement opt out of influenza.
Assistant provided an EMSA certificate of completion Pediatric First Aid and CPR training which does not expire 07/22/2025. |
