25 | On 08/06/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Beneroso conducted a Pre-licensing Inspection with Applicant Guadalupe Sanchez who guided LPA on a tour of the facility.
This is a story house with 4 bedrooms, 2 and ½ bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining area, laundry room and garage. Family members residing in the home include two adult and 4 minor children.
The facility will operate Monday through Friday from 5AM – 5PM for less than 24 hours and with a license capacity of 8 children. LPA went over the childcare ratios for a small family home with applicant and provided applicant with a copy.
Main Care Area: Main care will be provided in the living room area and room #1 (playroom). Children will nap in the playroom and eat in the living room. Per applicant she will most likely apply for a food program. The day care children will utilize the bathroom located in the hallway. Children will use the backyard for outdoor play time, backyard is divided into 2 one for personal use and one for children to play in. LPA observed day care area to be clean and orderly, central air and heating, age-appropriate toys and play equipment. There is a designated area for ill/sick children in the living room. Children will nap in cots in the play room (Room#1). LPA observed cots to be properly stored.
Off-Limit Areas: The front yard, bedrooms 2-4, bathroom #2,#3 laundry room, garage area and partial backyard are off limits to the day care children. LPA observed door safety knobs in the bedrooms, making the inaccessible to children.
Bathroom: LPA observed a clean, safe and operable toilet and faucet. Bathroom location is in the hallway, bathroom inside playroom will not be used for the children in care. LPA reminded applicant the children's bathroom must be free of shampoos, mouthwash, medication, perfumes, razor, air freshener, nail polish and polish remover.
